Melt It Embellishments - By Jo Herbert

Hello papercrafters, Jo here with a fun, simple and sweet card playing with the Melt It's and heart moulds.
This is the first time ever that I have played with the Melt It embossing powder and boy oh boy it was super fun, easy and beautiful.
The possibilities are endless and with the range that WOW Embossing has to offer on their glitters, powders and sparkle collection. So many pretties so little time.
For today's card creation I have used the heart mould to create my own embellishments for the card.
I have mixed the Melt It powder, Coral Beach sparkles premium glitter & Primary Apple Red Super fine.
To start the process I first pinched the tin foil tray to create a nozzle, to this I attached a pair of tweezers so that I don'r burn myself with holding or touching the tin while heating from the bottom.
I placed the heat tool underneath the tin foil tray until most of the powder is melted. The tip I found is that if I do this first I don't get any of the powders …

Heart Planner Clips And Charms by Jaine

Hello there, it's Jaine here and I'm so excited to show you my project. I got quite carried away with it so there are lots of photos. You may need a cup of tea for this one!

Like a large number of people I'm a planner girl and anyone in the planner community will tell you that we do love our clips and charms. We change them as often as our socks sometimes.

When I first read that this months theme was Melt It I knew I wanted to make planner clips. I love making my own and this was an opportunity to make something a bit different.

I chose a few bright colours some with sparkles included in them and I think the results are so pretty.

For the dark heart charm I started out with a half teaspoon of Hot Gossip added to two teaspoons of Melt It powder.

To make my heart into a charm I needed a loop pin. If you can't find one of these in your craft store then it's easy to make one from a piece of wire. I made a little hook in the end to stop it from pulling out of the hear…

Greeting Card with Paper Flowers by Susanne

Hi everyone.

Susanne here today with a mixed media greeting card with 3d paper flowers.
I used melting powder mixed with Sparkles, Embossing Powder and Brushos to create the centers of my flowers. I will tell you all the details in my tutorial...

Here are the step by step instructions:

1. I cut a stencil from Mylar (stencil material) with a Tim Holtz Mixed Media die. I used the Embossing Ink Pad and pressed it onto the stencil to get a impression on my card background. After that I embossed it with three of the brand new Metalline powders from WOW! (Himalaya Musk, Kiwi Krush, Perfect Plum)

To get this effect I just sprinkled some of the first two powders onto my image and covered the rest with the last powder. This is an easy technique, which you can do with all kinds of different powders.

 2. I coloured the background with ColourCraft Brusho Mists.

3. I used watercolour paper that was inked with Distress Oxides and cut different paper flowers. I use stylus tools to bring them in sh…

(Almost) Total Eclipse Of The Heart

Hi everyone, Emma Godfrey here with an extra little project for this month's Heart topic.

I love making art that can be displayed in a frame, and this piece now has pride of place in my bedroom.

I cut out four hearts from some leftover scraps of painted background paper (I never throw anything away). I didn't have any heart dies, so I hand cut my hearts - I quite like the not perfect finish. I heat embossed the second largest heart using the WOW! Tropical stamp and WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale Super Fine embossing powder. I also covered the smallest heart with double sided tape and then covered it with WOW! Sparkles in Jade (see photos further down).

To create a simple background for my paper hearts, I took a sheet of book text and heat embossed hearts from the WOW! Layered Hearts stamp set, using the gold embossing powder from earlier and WOW! Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder.

I added a strip of double sided tape across the middle of the book text, and added more Spark…

With Love - video tutorial by Ola

Hi there!

My name is Ola and this is my first post as a member of WOW crafty family.
First of all, I would like to say a big thank you for the invitation to join the team and the opportunity to craft using products I love so much.

For the January challenge ''All about hearts'' I created a clean and simple card using heat- resistant vellum and an embossing blending technique.

Close up photo shown below

For the sentiment I have used Pink and Main ''Love'' Die set which is available at WOW Embossing Powders UK.
Here is step by step video tutorial on how to make this card. Enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting to all of you! Ola xx

Metalline Himalayan Musk Hearts Card ....Jo Herbert

Hi All .. Jo here bringing to you a nice little sneak peak of a fabulous new colour that will be available to retailers and the WOW online stores in February 2018.

Today's card creation has a variety of elements such as masking, ink blending, pencil shading and background scoring.

My inspiration has come from the WOW's January Blog Challenge.

Even though this almost a one layer card there is so many ways to add texture and faux layers just with some simple techniques.

Apart from embossing powders, glitters and tools I also love the stamp collections that WOW has in their stores. Their array of background stamps are beautiful and have some intricate details that heat emboss really well as well as stamp crisply. Today I have used the J'Adore hearts background stamp which I have used with mask creating this heart on heart image.

I have recorded this card making process on you tube so please visit me over at You Tube and see today's card unfold in front of your eyes.
